Mix/Match or Dress? I am definitely a dress girl for the rushed mornings! Every season I’d like to add a few timeless pieces into my closet. My favorite go-to dress lately is this military inspired SMYTHE Tunic Dress, I love the effortless vibe of this dress – anything that makes me look like I haven’t tried too hard is a winner for me. It is such a versatile dress that I have worn in warm days with a pair of tanned colored sandals (as styled here and here), as well as in the colder days with a pair of booties. In this OOTD, I had the Stuart Weitzman Mitten booties on (the most comfortable booties I have ever owned!), and it also looks great with thigh high suede booties. As with all SMYTHE clothing, the fabric is beautiful – it’s neither too thin or nor too stiff. The lace up collar adds an updated fashion spin to this simple dress.

I haven’t been that excited with new season’s fashion for a while, as I am fully embracing the retro trend from the 70s with flares making a huge comeback. Favorite collection so far is the Zimmerman’s 2016 collection including this paisley necklet top in this OOTD. As much as I try to add ‘non monochrome’ pieces into my closet, finding a perfect floral top has always been a challenge for me that doesn’t look overly cute, nor too matronly. This top updated with a neck tie and bell sleeves is right on point and tres chic. Pairing it with a cropped wide leg pant, and my go-to Valentino rockstud pump in Noir that literally goes with everything!

Bought this little Fendi monster a while ago and finally had the chance to take some pictures. It’s cute (but not the usual girly cute) in its own unique way, and I think that’s what makes it appealing to me. Since I love investing in classic bags, this is a perfect accessory for adding a playful and whimsical spin to them. I bought mine at the Fendi boutique in the DFS Gallery in Australia (they have very limited stocks), and you can find them online here and here. Winter is certainly not as fun as summer, but the upside is that we can wear chunky sweaters and knits! I love throwing myself into cozy and over-sized knits, and I am constantly adding new pieces into my closet. In this ootd I am wearing my current favorite sweater by Bassike. I have been looking for a military green color sweat for so long and I am so glad I found the perfect piece. It has the signature Bassike relaxed cut – like a slimming boyfriend style that doesn’t look boxy nor wide. It is made of wool and cotton with ribbed knit over all which gives a very effortless and chic feel to it. Styling wise, can’t go wrong with ripped denim (my other obsession atm) and a touch of rockstud!

It’s been a while since my last update – I am finally back from the business trip and I decided to spend some quality time just with my family and put everything else aside. My 6-weeks stay in Stockholm was interesting and extremely valuable to my career development. However I probably could never do it again as I missed my family so much towards the end of the trip and was on the verge of a breakdown. I am so happy to be back and I miss blogging!
Haven’t had the time to take pictures for all the new beauty products so I went through my photo archives and found this OOTD shoot. This fitted long sleeve dress is perfect for the cold weather in Sydney now, and I always love the touch of military influence from Rachel Zoe’s design. I went for my normal size and it ran a little large so I would size down. It looks great wearing it alone or with a blazer over. As always I only had 10 minutes for an un-interruprted photo shoot until my boy lost his patience. I thought it was timely to include a candid shot of him (in his uncoordinated pjs dressed by daddy) dragging me out to play!

If you follow me on Instagram, you would know that I am currently in Sweden for a 6-weeks business trip. I’ve been here for about a week now, and other than missing my family like crazy, I really enjoy every aspect of “living” in Stockholm (yes I live like a local here). This city was never on my travel radar as it’s just too far away from Australia, and to my pleasant surprise, Stockholm is such a lovely place to visit (but make sure not in winter…). It’s a beautiful charismatic European city, with a great selection of international food. And most importantly for the fashion lovers, the Scandinavians, if not better, are just as chic as the Parisians.
As you would expect, I did some serious shopping over the weekend, and I could not believe I found this Mansur Gavriel Mini Bucket bag – it is the bucket bag of my dream! If there was one bag with a waiting list that rivals the Hermes Birkin, it would be this IT bag of the moment. I have been eyeing this bag for about half a year now and it’s never been available. Who would have known that I would find this in Sweden, which happened to be the only bag the shop received!
This bag fits me perfectly. The mini size is cute but still quite roomy to fit my everyday essentials in. The bag is made of smooth black leather with a soft buttery touch to it. It is very light as the leather is paper-thin, and there is a special hard coating inside which makes the bag feel solid and doesn’t lose its bucket shape. I particularly like the drawstring ties as it adds an effortless touch to such a minimalist design. The strap is adjustable so you can carry it either cross body or over the shoulder. As a designer handbag that is made in Italy, the price is very reasonable. Highly recommend if you are after a bucket bag – you can also try your luck here or here. I have always been a dress girl. Particularly now that I am on mommy’s duties at all times so there is very little time for me to think how to mix and match. Grabbing a dress in the morning seems to be the easiest as well as fool proof option for me. This Saloni Katie Silk Dress is one of my latest additions to my wardrobe and I love everything about it. The cut is very flattering and makes me want to dance as it’s so light and flowy. Also carrying my beloved YSL Mini Crossbody Bag – I haven’t really talked much about this bag on my blog but it’s such an investment piece based on “cost per wear value” as it just goes with everything and it’s so cute and chic!

Where I stay now is a beautiful and relaxed area that is surrounded by blue water and palm trees, so I have also changed my style to more laid back and resort-ish. My current biggest fashion obsessions include anything with stripes, crossbody bags and loafers, that seem to be perfectly in sync with the warm weather here, and they will also be coming with me on my next vacation which is not far away!
