I have been asked by a lot of girls what is my favorite eye cream many times, so I thought I’d share a quick review on my HG of the HG eye cream – the La Prairie Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex (bought here in Australia). I have been using it on and off for more than 10 years. I have switched to other premium brands in between, albeit I liked many of them, the La Prairie holds a special place in my heart as it just works as a perfect gentle but anti-aging intensive eye serum for all purposes. I guess it must be doing a good job as I haven’t noticed any fine lines around my eyes for my sad old age!
The Eye Complex comes in a blue glass bottle with a dripper to dispense the product. For the price, I think it’s reasonably priced compared to the other products from the same brand. A 0.5oz bottle would last more than 6 months for me. Basically, it is an instant firming eye serum that acts like an eye lift with La Prairie’s signature caviar extracts. The texture is like a gel-serum that is instantly absorbed into the skin. It feels weightless, non-sticky and very hydrating on the skin and no flaking afterward. Just apply 1-2 drops and give a gentle massage around the eyes (tapping and pushing the pressure points around the eyes) – you will notice the eyes appear instantly more awakened and looking less tired. One of the reasons I have been loyal to this product is because it has such a lovely formula that it feels very gentle for my sensitive eyes and also it never causes any milia (whiteheads) and irritation to my skin which happens quite often to me with the eyecare products from other brands.
