I have another beautiful and highly popular lip color to share on my blog – the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink 196 Precieux from the Summerfall 2018 collection. This is the only item I picked up from the collection – luckily my beloved Chanel SA had put one aside for me as she told me this color literally sold out within a few days since its release in Australia. This color is hard to get in the department stores and I am not sure if it is yet available in the states. You can still find it here online in Australia.
Following the muted brown rose lip color trend, Chanel never fails to release makeup color that is right on point. The 196 PRÉCIEUX is a beautiful muted soft brown rose with very fine rose gold shimmer flecks. It is the hottest color that most girls would fall in love with right now – goes well with the warm tone eyeshadow trend. It is a universally flattering color that would look great on most complexion colors. I absolutely love it! In terms of formula, Chanel Allure Ink applies creamy and smooth and dries down to a semi-matte finish. It feels weightless on the lips and as a matte formula that doesn’t dry out my lips.

Introducing another hot shade of the moment – NARS Lip Cover in Hell Gate (limited edition). If you are as obsessed with brown rose lip color as I am, then this is a must-have for you! My heart skipped a few beats the minute I had it swatched on my lips. Hell Gate is done in perfection with the right amount of brown tone with a reddish rose base. Whether wearing it sheer or in full coverage, it makes a statement lips and looks flattering with most skin tones.
The formula has a velvety smooth texture and glides on smoothly without enhancing lines. It feels creamy and non-drying and settles down to a matte stain-like finish with a hint of luminosity that lasts for hours. Pure love and highly recommend it! It is sold out at most department stores so be quick.

I am on a mission to track down every single hot lip color at the moment. My latest acquisition is the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Liquid Lipstick Dangerous Liaison – it is so beautiful that it literally took my breath away when I first applied it. It is a hugely popular shade amongst beauty lovers worldwide, and it’s been sold out for a very long time but it’s just been restocked!
I am trying to make all of my lip swatch posts short and sweet. Overall Dangerous Liaison is a stunning neutral rusty red color with a hint of rose. If you wear it in full coverage, the rose undertone tends to show up more (as you can see on Charlotte Tilbury’s swatch). I love wearing it sheer, so it looks more warm and rusty and gives a nice fall and edgy retro look. The texture is also lovely for dry lips – goes on creamy smooth and settles down to a matte finish without drying the lips over time. Just a tiny teeny bit of the color is enough for the whole lips.

The Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Liquid Lipstick can be found here in the US. For worldwide shipping, you can check the stock on Selfridges (where I bought it from), Net-A-Porter, BeautyLish, and CultBeauty. I think my swatch is very close to what I see on my lips in real life. On each website mentioned here, the swatch varies by a small degree, and I would say NAP has the most accurate presentation of the color for me.

Another exciting launch of new liquid lipsticks from Giorgio Armani – the Lip Magnet Liquid Lipstick (bought here in Australia). I always feel Giorgio Armani is the pioneer when it comes to revolutionary makeup formulas, so I was very looking forward to the new improved formula of their liquid lipsticks. I loved their Lip Maestro to bits, and this year they released the Lip Magnets in a more hydrating and opaque formula in a matte finish that promises for a more moisturizing and weightless feel. Thanks to my reader for letting me know that GA USA is currently offering 20% off on all orders with code ARMANI20 (offer ends 01/12).
The design is very cute – chubby and round. Most of the colors from the range are on the bright side, but I did manage to find some beautiful soft and easy to wear muted colors –505, 506 and 507 (hint I noticed GA always seem to have the most popular colors in these numbers!). As they claimed, the formula is very creamy and hydrating to the lips, and the texture is so weightless that the pigment is completely infused with the lips and feels like second-skin. It goes on wet and takes about 5-10 seconds to dry down to a semi creamy satin finish. Compared to the Lip Maestro, the finish of Lip Magnet is not completely matte. The color payoff is intense with a stain-like lasting power – a little product goes a long way for a full opaque finish. In my swatches below, I have applied them with the applicator straight from the tubes. However, in real life, I like to apply them with a lip brush to sheer down the intensity for a softer look.
505 Second skin – It is a MLBB shade with a pink and coral undertone.
506 Fusion – Another MLBB pink shade with rosy beige undertone. Perfection!
507 Garconne – It is a muted mauve pink color with a plummy brown undertone.
