Essie Da Bush is my latest nail polish buy – it is part of Essie’s 2011 Resort collection. I was eyeing this shade for a long time but it was all sold out until recently. I have been wearing this shade since the start of this week and received tons of complements on it! It seems everyone has a different interpretation of this color – is it..jade? green? khaki? gray? My conclusion is that it is a complex khaki green color with a gray undertone to it.
Formula of Da Bush is smooth and creamy. Opaque in 2 coats. Swatched below:
I don’t have this shade in my collection at all. But if I there is a hybrid between Essie Turquoise and Caicos (pictured on the right) and MAC On The Prowl (pictured on the left) – it will be Da Bush.

This week I have been wearing Russian Navy by OPI. It is such a classic shade by OPI – a rich dark navy blue with tons of purple shimmers. It looks close to black on the nails but the purple and blue glow adds a modern spin to it.

This week I have been wearing Essie Mink Muffs. Essie is one of my favorite nail polish brands because they have this jelly like glossy finish that not many other brands have. Essie nail polish also lasts for about a week without any chipping.
Back to my thought on Mink Muffs. It is a true chocolate brown – to me it is just not muddy/muted looking.. A lot of people say this is a good dupe for Chanel Particuliere which I also own. I think it is a close dupe but not enough – it is missing a hint of grey and taupe undertone that Chanel Particuliere has.

This week I am wearing Chanel Intermezzo, one of the 3 nail polishes released by Chanel for spring 2011 collection.
To view my swatches for Black Pearl, click here.
Chanel Intermezzo is a very elegant and classic white shade – it looked opalescent on my nails. The gold and pink shimmers are quite noticeable if I look closely. I do like this shade, it is a nice break from the dark shades I usually wear. But I can only see myself wearing this shade in spring and summer time when my hands are more tanned.
The formula of this one is not the best Chanel can do! It is quite sheer and streaky. In my photos I applied 4 coats of it because I didn’t like my nail lines to show through.

This week I have been wearing Dior Nirvana on my nails from Dior Rock Your Nails Collection. Out of the entire collection the color of Nirvana caught my attention the most; it appears as a turquoise-green from the bottle, a unique shade I haven’t yet had in my nail polishes collection.
Formulation of Dior nail polish is second to none – 2 coats give you a flawless and smoothest cream finish.
It lasted a week on my nails without a single chip. The picture below is Nirvana on my nails on the 7th day. Compare to the swatch above, I think this one is more of an accurate swatch of Nirvana. It is more of a green color than turquoise.

Neon color is making a huuuge come back this season. If you don’t dare to wear neon lips, why not to show it off on your nails! This week I am wearing Knockout Pout by Essie from its summer 2010 collection. This pink is literally breathtaking.
3 coats of Essie knockout pout.

This week I am loving Chanel nail polish in black pearl. As most of you would know, this is the ‘IT’ nail polish of the moment, every girl who loves nail polish should own this one because it is just so unique.
Chanel Nail Polish in Black Pearl
The shade is truly a reminiscence of black pearl. From the bottle it may look like a boring metallic grayish black. On the nails it looks like a mix of green, black and grey, depending on which angle you look at it. It has lots of tiny shimmers in it, so it dries into a satin finish. Okay, this is my review for it as I am terribly bad at describing color or scent.
Here is a swatch shot of 2 coats of black pearl, I have to say the picture doesn’t do its justice.
